How It All Began?
My name is Caterina and everything started in 2023 when I began working as a wedding coordinator at Agrecofarms, a stunning venue in Rethymno that hosts over 100 weddings per season. It didn’t take long for me to realize how much I loved this job. As a highly creative and communicative person, I found immense joy in bringing dream weddings to life. Every time I successfully orchestrated a wedding, the happiness and emotion I felt were indescribable.
However, working for others comes with limitations. I soon realized that I wanted more creative freedom, to shape unique experiences without constraints. That’s when I decided to take the leap and start my own company.
On this journey, I’m not alone. My childhood friend, Stavros, who has always believed in me, is my partner in this exciting new chapter. Together, we founded Pipistrello Weddings and Events. Our name comes from the Italian word Pipistrello, meaning "bat." According to folklore, those who possess the "bone of the bat" are destined for good fortune. And that’s exactly what we wish for our couples—luck, happiness, and a wedding day filled with unforgettable moments.
With extensive experience in the hospitality industry and a deep passion for communication and event planning, Stavros and I are dedicated to making every couple’s dream wedding a reality. Our mission is simple: to craft extraordinary celebrations, full of elegance, emotion, and personal meaning.
